MTAC™ Spare Body | Comp-Tac Victory Gear

We produce products for the most popular make and model pistols, S&W, Glock, Springfield, H&K, Sig Sauer and many more. Please select your pistol from the Make and Model drop down.

Comp-Tac offers additional Kydex bodies for most of our leather Kydex hybrid holsters that may be interchanged to make one holster adaptable for multiple firearms.

The MTAC Spare Kydex bodies are a rigid material that are fit to each firearm and maintains their shape even with the pistol un-holstered. The smooth low friction surface allows for a fast draw and easy one-handed re-holstering of the firearm. The Kydex body will not bend or stretch over time and is impervious to sweat and solvents.

NOTE: The “Slide” version allows the user to use one holster for similar guns of different lengths (such as Glock 9mm, .40, and .357). The Slide is typically slightly longer than the shortest gun of the series, and left open so that longer guns can ‘slide’ through the end of the holster.

Slide versions of outside the waistband holsters are recommended for range work only. While carrying a longer firearm in a slide holster the end is left exposed and the user must be careful not to bump the exposed muzzle up against anything that might dislodge the firearm, i.e. sitting down in an arm chair.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! We no longer offer Kydex Bodies for Generation 1 leather backings. If your MTAC was purchased between April to September of 2010, please read below.

Identifying Which Generation Backing You Have:

The Generation 2 backing was introduced in April of 2010 and fully implemented in September 2010. If your MTAC was purchased before April 2010, you have a Gen1 MTAC. The Gen1 sweat shield measures at 1.75”"-2" across. The Gen2 has a wider sweat shield that measures 2.25" across.

    MTAC spare holster body

Posted by Walker Kelly on Mar 7th 2019

I now have 4 different holster bodies for the Comp-Tac MTAC Holster. The initial combination for my Sig P365 fit so well and was so comfortable that I had to try it out for my other/medium small frame pistols. The ease of converting the holster to fit other models keeps the cost down as I check out the ease of use with other guns. The combination leather frame and pistol body fits well in the 4 o'clock position and there is virtually no printing.

Not a big fan of the large gap/space along the barrel/slide. I also have a Cacalry holster for my LC9 and body fits the contour of the gun much better.

I still like the comfort of the MTAC better than the Cavalry.

    good product

i originally bought an M-tac for my G19 but my agency just switched to the SIG 320 (I liked the Glock better) so I bought a 320 compact for off duty. Instead of buying a while new holster, I just had to switch the kydex body. Good value and quality, would recommend comp-tac to anyone.

MTAC body shell - Sig P365

As usual, your quality and attention to detail and thought process is exceptional. You are leaders in the industry. 90% of my firearms have one of your holsters. In this case, I believe we would be better served by a Cavalry style holster for the P365. The MTAC leather backing is a bit too large for the P365. I have a Calvary for my P938’s and other firearms including my Glock 43. I find the Calvalry style to be extraordinarily useful with smaller firearms., so I think it would be a better choice for the P365
